Drama in Micro Teaching Class..? Why Not..?

What do you think if a teaching learning is like a drama?

It would be fun, right? That is what I think. Teaching learning process should be interesting for the students. Therefore, the teacher should have skills how to make the atmosphere of the class become great. I suggest to every teacher in this world that they should make the class as a game or a drama. The teacher is the director and the students are the actors/actress. I am inspired by Play Performance class where I can find joy and fun. There should not be high tension in the class so that the students can study happily.

I can’t imagine what the students feel if the teacher only explains the materials and then give the students assignments or homework, it will be a boring class. However, if the teacher makes the class as playing drama, it will grab the students’ attention to study. Considering the nowadays teenagers are like playing game, I think this method will work.

Reflection 5

Teacher = Sherlock Holmes ?

What the teacher should do if there are naughty students in the class? Although we, as a teacher, have arranged a schedule of what we will do in the class, we still have to admit the schedule may not run as we wish. Based on my experience on Micro Teaching class, I find out some of my friends, who are practicing their micro teaching, get difficulties to face the students. It is because the students do not pay attention to my friends who are practicing. I realize that leading more than twenty students in the class is not an easy job. Although the teacher has arranged the time, it will not work well.

Therefore, in order to make the students pay their full attention to you, as a teacher, you should be good-looking. It means you must have an interesting appearance. For example, you wear an appropriate dress or comb your hair so that your students are interesting to and paying their attention to you. You don’t have to wear a good dress or the expensive one, just an interesting dress. Then give the students your beautiful smile. Besides, make the teaching learning more attractive. It means that you should vary your teaching strategies. Sherlock Holmes is an ugly man but the people always respect him because he is an attractive person. You can be like Sherlock Holmes.

Reflection 4

Time Management

What is time management? There are some people say time management is the way to manage the time. In this reflection, I want to say that time management is Life Management. Time Management is a matter that people arrange their own time as well as they can. Of course it is not easy so we must realize that time management is an important thing. It is difficult for us if we don’t manage our schedule finely. So do the teachers.

Just imagine what will happen if a teacher does not schedule the activities in the class well? The class activities will not run as the teacher wish. This statement has proven by the fact that some of my friends in Micro Teaching class get difficulties in managing the time they perform. Just one suggestion from me how to manage your time is that prepare everything before you start your activities.
